Gov. Marañon Turns Over P850,000 Worth of Barangay Insurance

Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. turned over checks worth a total of P850,001 to the beneficiaries of the Barangay Insurance Program for Barangay Tanods and Barangay Officials and Employees, in a ceremony held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, Wednesday.

The beneficiaries are the families of insured barangay officials and tanods from the cities of Sagay, Silay, Talisay, Bago, La Carlota, Sipalay and Kabankalan, and the municipalities of Pulupandan, San Enrique, Pontevedra and Isabela.

Gov. Marañon advised them not to lose hope in life despite the loss of their loved ones. He told them to make good use of the insurance claims given to them and spend only for their needs.

The beneficiaries thanked Gov. Marañon for his program which they consider a big help to their families.
