The Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division held its annual Year-End Assembly with more than 300 student scholar attendees at The Porch, Lopue’s East Centre at Bacolod City on Tuesday.
Sixty-three scholars who recently passed their licensure examinations were recognized during the assembly along with 52 other academic honorees.
Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. said that the government prioritizes education allocating more than 100 million pesos grant per year to fund the scholarship program of the Province, adding that he is very grateful of the outcome of the province’s zeal for education.
The student scholars thanked the provincial government and Gov. Marañon for the opportunity given to them to further their studies and be better examples to future generations.
