Governor Bong Lacson attended the 42nd Provincial Cooperative Day celebration hosted by San Carlos City on October 29, 2022,

The activity held at the city auditorium, started with a thanksgiving mass followed by a program.

It was attended by Negros Occ. Provincial Cooperative Council, San Carlos City Cooperatives Development Council, San Carlos City Government Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and representatives from the Cooperative Development Authority, among others.

The event is also part of this year’s Provincial Cooperative Month themed, “Negros Cooperatives: Models of Resiliency and Excellence in the Midst of Economic Turbulence”.

Gov. Lacson said that he always believed in the value of people’s inclusion and empowerment, which will strengthen the government and further develop economic and social progress.

“We as a united province must resolve to strengthen cooperatives, to enable them to provide quality financial and related services that will strengthen the capacities of our people, especially as we seek to recover from the ill effects of the pandemic and move forward as a nation,” he said.

Also present at the activity were Negros Occ. Board Member Rommel Debulgado and Provincial Cooperative Coordinator, Dr. Edmund Chris Acosido, among others.
