Gov. Bong Lacson lauded the outstanding and innovative outputs of the Provincial Government’s ICT scholars at STI West Negros University, during the 18th Research Exposition held at the university, yesterday (June 20).

At present, there are 96 provincial government scholars who are grantees of the Capitol’s ICT Scholarship Program, taking up BS Information Technology at STI WNU; 35 are set to graduate next month.

The IT students presented their conceptualized outputs and developed systems to Gov. Lacson and the executives of STI WNU led by its Executive Vice President and COO, Dr. Ryan Mark Molina, and Negros Occ. Scholarship Program Head, Karen Dinsay.

Gov. Lacson said that he is pleased to see the results of the IT students’ efforts, commitment, and steadfast pursuit of excellence in information and communications technology.

“The outputs you presented today are more than just technology advances; they represent the impact you are capable of making on your community, our province, and the world. May your journey be guided by wisdom, innovation, and integrity as you lead us into a brighter digital future,” he said.

Gov. Lacson also thanked the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Office and STI-WNU for their sincere efforts in providing assistance and opportunities to young learners and assured that the provincial government will do its best to make sure that our programs will be responsive to the needs of the Negrense youth.#ICTScholars#AbanseNegrense
