Negrense students who won medals in the recent 9th World Innovative Technology Challenge held at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, presented their awards to Gov. Bong Lacson at the Capitol, this morning.
Erich Joy Grande and Marciela Valdez from Ramon Torres National High School—Main, Bago City, won gold medals in the Symposium Category, showcasing their exceptional skills and innovative ideas.
Lettynia Mellisze Sorongon and Jorge Nathalie Dequilla from Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School (DMLMHS), Silay City, won a silver medal, while fellow STEM students Lyn Piedad and Akysha Nicole Grande, also from DMLMHS, won a bronze medal in the same category.
The said students are all winners in the recent 4th Battle of Bots Competition, organized by the Negros Occidental Language and IT Center headed by NOLITC Head Dr. Ma. Christina Orbecido, in collaboration with Pinoy Robot Games.*
