Governor Bong Lacson, in a video conference with the governors and some mayors of Western Visayas, discussed details about the upcoming MGCQ implementation starting June 1, as well as some concerns about the opening of classes and coordination with arriving OFWs in their respective provinces.

Present in the online meeting organized by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas were Governors Arthur Defensor Jr. of Iloilo, Esteban Contreras of Capiz, Rhodora Cadiao of Antique, Florencio Miraflores of Aklan, and Samuel Gumarin of Guimaras. Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia was also present in the meeting. They were also joined by Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region VI Director Roberto Nuñez and DILG VI Regional Director Ariel Iglesia.
