Governor Bong Lacson, together with Sixth District Representative Genaro Alvarez, Jr. and Mayor John Rey Tabujara, attends the inauguration of the new public market of the Municipality of Cauayan, earlier today.
The town’s new P100 million worth public market, located in Brgy. Poblacion along the national highway, has 51 available stalls, wet and dry market areas, commercial stalls, public toilets and a canteen.
Gov. Lacson lauded the cooperation and hard work of the local officials for the realization of the project, that will in turn pave the way to more economic activities.
The governor also encouraged the local vendors to do their part in keeping their new market clean and orderly. He likewise asked the authorities to strictly implement local health protocols in crowded places, particularly in the new market, to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
Mayor Tabujara thanked the governor and the provincial government for supporting their town’s projects. The new municipal bus and excavator were also inaugurated as part of the day’s activity.
Meanwhile, the 25 barangays also received financial assistance, with counterparts from the province, to fund for their local projects.#AbanseNegrense
