Governor Bong Lacson lauded the collaboration and partnership of all education stakeholders in Kabankalan City in achieving educational goals despite different crises that the province has faced.

The governor delivered his message during the Stakeholders’ Appreciation Program held at Zaycoland Hotel and Resort in Kabankalan City, today (Jan. 26), spearheaded by Kabankalan Dep Ed Schools Division Office.

Gov. Lacson said that there’s a need to ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the modern world to promote sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, and global citizenship.

He also said quality public education must be accessible and reach the children in need, to serve its purpose.

“With DepEd’s thrust on addressing the challenges of quality basic education, we recognize the exigency for the unity of purpose and utmost cooperation among all stakeholders,” he said.

Present at the activity were Kabankalan City Mayor Benjie Miranda; SP Macario Zafra III, chairman of the SP Committee on Education; OIC Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Nicasio Frio; SGOD Chief Dr. Cecilia Abello; Asst. Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lea Belleza; City Federated PTA President Alfredo Mangao; and Kabankalan Catholic College president, Rev. Fr. Eugene Lucerna, among others.

Gov. Lacson also received a Plaque of Commendation from DepEd Kabankalan in appreciation of his contribution to the implementation of DepEd’s programs and activities.
