Governor Bong Lacson, DILG Negros Occ. Provincial Director, Roselyn Quintana, SK-Negros Occ. Chapter Federation President, Board Member Pocholo Yuvienco, and Narciso Abad III of the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration and partnership in the implementation of programs, projects and activities designed to promote the general welfare, development, and empowerment of the Negrense youth.
The signing was held at the Governor’s Office, Provincial Capitol yesterday, September 6, 2022.
Last month, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental approved during its regular session Resolution No. 0550, Series of 2022, which is a resolution approving the Memorandum of Understanding to be entered into by and between the DILG Negros Occ. Provincial Office, the SK Provincial Federation Negros Occ. Chapter, and the Province of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Youth Development Office relative to the commitment of the parties to conjointly design and implement the SK Mandatory Training Program in keeping with RA 10742 or the SK Reform Act.
The Provincial Government has been implementing various programs and projects, including scholarships in support to youth development in the province, under the Abanse Negrense Development Agenda.
