WATCH: Gov. Lacson visits vegetable farm in Bago
Governor Bong Lacson visited the farmers and vegetable farms of Brgy. Robles Farmers Association of La Castellana and Mailum Organic Village Association of Bago City yesterday (March 19), to check and see how the provincial government could further assist the them in the improvement of their respective livelihood.
The governor lauded the farmers for their enthusiasm in agriculture that contributes a lot in sustaining the province’s food security.
He also said that the provincial government is ready to help the farmers and their associations so their productivity and income will increase.
The farmers plant vegetables and other high value crops and sell their produce for income.
They said they are thankful for the livelihood assistance, such as vegetable seeds and other farm implements, extended to them in the past by the provincial government through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan of La Castellana and Mayor Nicholas Yulo of Bago City welcomed Gov. Lacson in their respective LGUs.
