Governor Bong Lacson turned over the symbolic checks amounting to a total of 4,744,400 to La Castellana 1 – Personnel Multi-Purpose Cooperative represented by its chairperson, Judith Obordo, to fund the Negros Swine Integrated Enterprise under the Philippine Rural Development (PRDP).
The amount is part of the total project cost that include the enterprise and infrastructure of the project located at Brgy. Robles, La Castellana managed by the LC1 – PMPC together with cluster members.
The Investments for Rural Enterprises, and Agricultural and Fisheries Productivity (I-REAP) or Enterprise Development Component is one of the components of the PRDP that aims to strengthen and develop viable agriculture- and fishery-based enterprises by providing technical, financial and infrastructure support to eligible groups in targeted project areas within the priority value chains.
Also present in the turn over were Region VI PRDP Deputy Project Director, Engr. Albert Barrogo, Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit Head and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal, and Lorna Dumancas of LC1 – PMPC.
