NEGROS-JAPAN SCHOLARSHIP: A LIFE CHANGING OPPORTUNITY

Good news! The Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division under the Office of the Governor is once again accepting applications of young professionals who want to study Japanese language and work part time with our partner company in Japan, the Cooperative Association for Yomiuri Shimbun Distribution Services for two years.

If you are a graduate of any four-year course, male or female, between 20 to 26 years old, single, dedicated, determined ,diligent and with good attitude, please submit your resume’ , birth certificate, transcript of records and diploma to the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division located at the 2nd Floor of the Multi-Purpose Building beside NBI, Bacolod City.

This program is a study now, pay later scheme to help young graduates achieve their dreams to study and work in Japan. While studying Japanese Language in Japan, they will be working part-time as Newspaper Delivery Crew to fund their daily living expenses.

Mr. Fumio Mizuno, a Japanese coordinator, said that this program is aimed at giving opportunities to Negrense professionals to be proficient in Japanese Language so that later on, they will be able to continue their studies in some Business schools in Japan.

He added that applicants must have a clear objective of studying Japanese Language in Japan and can drive a motorcycle.

Gov. Bong Lacson said that he is extremely proud of the previous scholars who are already enrolled in business schools and working full time in different companies in Japan. He also said that in April this year, there were 15 young professionals who went to Japan under this program.

“I would like to thank the Cooperative Association of Yomiuri Shimbun for partnering with us in this very laudable program that will pave the way to improve the quality of life of our young professionals”, the governor said.

He added that applicants will be screened thoroughly by the executives of partner-company. Selected applicants will study basic Japanese Language for three months at OISCA Bago Training Center and are expected to go to Japan in April 2023.

Interested applicants must submit resume at Negros Occ. Scholarship Program Division, Second Floor, Provincial Multi-Purpose Building, Aguinaldo St., Bacolod City.
