The Provincial Gender and Development Focal Point System (PGDFPS ) held the Awarding and Appreciation Ceremony for the GAD Champions and Companions of the Provincial Gender Journey, at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall, in Bacolod City, this afternoon.
PGDFPS recognized the GAD Project Implementers of the previous year, members of PGDFPS, GAD Support, and members of the media covering the Provincial Capitol.
As part of the 2024 Observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, PGDFPS announced the winners of the GAD Information Board on VAW Contest. The Provincial Information Office was awarded first place, while Negros Occidental Language and IT Center (NOLITC) was awarded second place and the Provincial Human Resources Management Office won third place.
The awardees received certificates of award, appreciation and tokens.
The activity was spearheaded by the PGDFPS Action Officer and Executive Assistant to the Governor, Marie June Castro.
Fifth District Board Member and Chairman of SP Committee on Women and Family, Rita Gatuslao and department heads from various Capitol offices and hospitals were also present during the program.*
