Governor Bong Lacson, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and heads and employees of provincial government departments and offices attended the traditional Thanksgiving and New Year’s Mass held this morning at the Capitol Social Hall.
The mass was followed by a flag-raising ceremony and a message from Gov. Lacson.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the Capitol employees for their dedicated service and encouraged them to embrace the new year with renewed enthusiasm and commitment.
“The year that has passed was marked by significant achievements that brought pride to our province, including receiving the Seal of Good Local Governance. This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts toward good governance, transparency, and excellence in public service,” he said.
He also highlighted the challenges posed by natural calamities, which called upon the Capitol workforce to act not only as public servants but also as compassionate stewards of the people’s welfare. He commended the PGNO team for stepping up to meet these challenges, ensuring the basic needs of displaced persons in Bago, La Carlota, and La Castellana following the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.
Gov. Lacson also thanked Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer and the Sanggunian Panlalawigan for their steadfast support of the executive agenda and the administration’s priority programs.
“May this year be one of purpose and fulfillment, not just for us as public servants but for every Negrense who looks to us not only with hope but, most of all, with trust,” he concluded.*
