TOURISM OFFICERS HOLD 2ND QUARTER MEETING
The tourism officers of the different cities and municipalities of the province attended the 2nd Quarter Tourism Meeting at the Capitol Social Hall yesterday, April 6, 2022, spearheaded by the Negros Occidental Tourism Division led by Provincial Tourism Officer, Cheryl Decena, and the Alliance of Tourism Officers of Negros Occidental (ATONO).
LGUs will participate in the LakBAYANihan Tourism Fair, next month, that aims to support local recovery measures for domestic tourism, as well as highlight potential investments, travel destinations and tour packages under safe travels concept.
Governor Bong Lacson said that COVID-19 is by far recent history’s unparalleled crisis, and the tourism sector was gravely affected by the economic impact of the quarantine measures.
He said that COVID crisis has led everybody to new sets of behaviors, perspectives, and approaches, and everybody needs to adapt to protect both lives and livelihood.
The ATONO officers headed by its president, Juanily Pedrosa of Cadiz City, were also presented at the meeting.
