Serbisyo Negrosanon

Hundreds of residents of the Municipality of Isabela and its neighboring towns and cities availed of the government services in an activity dubbed as “Serbisyo Negrosanon” or the Retooled Community Support Program, held at the Isabela Socio-cultural Center, today.

The government services include free medical and dental services, skills and livelihood training, free massage and haircut, legal services, Negros Occ. Comprehensive Health Program enrolment, and other services from the participating government agencies.

Last November 2019, the same peace caravan was also held in Brgy. Locotan, Kabanakalan City that assisted more than 800 residents in the community, which highlighted the Negros Peace Week Celebration.

Gov. Bong Lacson, together with DILG Asec. Manuel Felix, DILG Region VI Director Ariel Iglesia, DENR Region VI Executive Director Francisco Milla, Jr., Negros Occ. DILG Director Atty. Ferdinand Panes, Bacolod City DILG Director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag, and Isabela Mayor Irene Montilla, and led in the ribbon-cutting ceremony that marked the opening of the serbisyo caravan.

Asec. Felix of the Dept. of Interior and Local Government scored the importance of the cooperation of the community and the government in the attainment of peace and progress.

The Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) is indeed appropriate and suitable I our quest to strengthen the community support initiatives of the government,” said Gov. Lacson.

The governor also said that he welcomes the RCSP as a great opportunity to address the root causes of local armed conflict and tensions by prioritizing the delivery of basic services and social development assistance, and in facilitating participatory initiatives of all sectors in the attainment of the country’s peace agenda.

“There can be no real peace unless we start listening and hearing one another,” said Gov. Lacson.

Also present in the activity were Negros Occ. Board Members Rita Gatuslao and Tinto Bascon, and Joben Alonso, NEDA VI Regional Director Ro-ann Bacal, TESDA VI Director Gaspar Gayona, DepEd Negros Occ. Superintendent Marsette Sabbaluca, AFP BGen. Eric Vinoya, NOCPPO PD Romeo Baleros, DENR ARD Levino Duran, and other local officials, among others.

Abanse Negrense Sports Clinic

The first ever Abanse Negrense Sports Clinic was launched and officially opened, yesterday, in San Carlos City spearheaded by Governor Bong Lacson.

The sports clinic will not only train the Negrense athletes and coaches but will also provide the necessary updates on relevant training programs and rules.

The activity was attended by the sports coordinators from the different towns and cities of the province, coaches, mentors and local officials.

The Governor said that it is a response to the responsibility of the government to equip, enable and uplift all athletes and coaches.

“Sports development is a dynamic discipline and field of study that is why we need to be abreast of the latest trainings, knowledge and skills available,” said Gov. Lacson.

“I have great faith in the Negrense talent and the capacity of all Negrense athletes, thus, the need to develop and empower our athletes, coaches and mentors, is imperative,” he added.

Also present in the activity were First District Rep. Gerardo Valmayor, San Carlos Mayor Renato Gustilo and Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona, and Provincial Sports Coordinator Tony Agustin, among others.
