Governor Bong Lacson received a mobile swabbing unit donated by Biopower and ThomasLloyd in a turnover ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol ground, this afternoon.
The swab mobile aims to protect medical workers and enhance response time of swab testing.
Gov. Lacson thanked the Biopower and ThomasLloyd for working hand-in-hand with the province in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Biopower Stakeholders Senior Manager, Jack Celdran, said they remain committed to support communities and the government on its COVID-19 response initiatives.
Joining the blessing and turnover rites were Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and Board Member Tinto Bascon, among others.
The swab mobile will be operational once disinfected and will be dispatched in areas across the province wherever swab collection is needed.
ThomasLloyd is a European investment firm that is a shareholder of the BioPower Group, which is led by its president Arthur Aguilar.
