AGRI-FISHERY INSURANCE PROGRAM. More than 500 farmers of Bago City enrolled in the Negros Occidental Agri-Fishery Program, received their indemnity claims worth a total of P2,332,390 for their damaged crops today.
Governor Bong Lacson led the ceremonial distribution of the crop insurance claims at the Bago City Coliseum, this morning, attended by Fourth District Board Members Jose Benito Alonso and Victor Javellana, Bago Bago City officials led by Mayor Nicholas Yulo, and Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Edmundo Causing, among others.
The Agri-Fishery Insurance Program is a joint initiative between the Province of Negros Occidental and the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation to insure agricultural crops in the province.
