The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental turned over checks worth a total of P19.5 million to 61 barangays of the different cities and municipalities of the province, for various development projects.
Board Members Andrew Montelibano, Jose Maria Alonso, Rita Gatuslao, and Valentino Miguel Alonso, and Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz led the turnover of the financial assistance to the punong barangays and LGU-authorized representatives, at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, yesterday.
The barangay projects include concreting of barangay roads, repair of old public market, construction of a perimeter fence, installation of solar streetlights, renovation of barangay hall, repair of a multi-purpose hall, purchase of multi-purpose vehicles, construction of a water system, rehabilitation of covered court, and rehabilitation of drainage canals, among others.
