Capitol employees who are seniors and with comorbid conditions received their first dose of vaccines against COVID-19, today, spearheaded by the Provincial Health Office.
Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, said that the vaccination will be done for two weeks at the Negros Residences in Bacolod City, and it is targeted to be finished by the first week of June.The PHO targets to vaccinate 200 – 300 employees per day.
Almost all Capitol frontliners, especially those at the provincial government-run hospitals in various LGUs, were already vaccinated, while the Capitol essential workers are scheduled for inoculation next week.
Governor Bong Lacson was also present at the venue to show support for the employees; he advised them to continue practicing safety protocols even after getting the vaccine.
