International Day of Action For Women’s Health

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Gender and Development Focal Point System (PGFPS) joined the observance of International Day of Action for Women’s Health through various activities held at the Provincial Capitol, today. Earlier today, Capitol employees availed of free urine testing, blood screening, medical consultation, and family planning services conducted by the Provincial Health Office. Afternoon sessions include a short program and talks on women’s health and well-being. Present at the activity were Board Member Rita Gatuslao who talked on Sharing on Women’s Health, Executive Assistant to the Governor and PGFPS Action Officer, Marie June Castro, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, health workers, and Capitol heads and employees, among others. Some of the discussions include Mental Health Program of the Provincial Human Resource Management Office, GAD Funding for Health, Urinary Tract Infections, and Programs and Services of the Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecological Society. The Hataw sa Capitol Instructors and Dancers also led the dance exercise as part of the program. Nikki Care Foundation also supported the activity.#AbanseNegrense
