Governor Bong Lacson turned over a check worth P800,000 to Talisay City LGU represented by Talisay City Administrator, Atty. Jonathan Ealdama, for the construction of the Mangrove Boardwalk in the Mangrove Eco-Park in Brgy. Zone V.

The ceremonial turnover was held at the Governor’s Office, Monday (March 20), in the presence of Provincial Environment Management Officer Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio, Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena, and PEMO Supervising EMS Jose Aldwin Legaspi, among others.

The Mangrove Eco-Park is an ideal destination for ecotourism, wherein the home of different species of mangrove trees and a sanctuary of birds and marine species will be showcased.

The project will be implemented in close coordination with the local environment office and local tourism office.
