The Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan is a partnership between the Manila Economic and Cultural Office and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, which aims to enhance the relations through the implementation of an internship program for qualified young Filipino farmers.

It is a scholarship program that enables the student to acquire skills and knowledge through modern agricultural and fishery techniques including value chain management, cooperative management, and enhancement of competencies, disciplines, and values.

Asuncion passed the pre-qualifying exam and the selection process conducted by the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) held in Aklan last March 24, 2023.

He is scheduled for a Pre-departure Orientation Course (PDOC) on July 24, 2023 at DA-ATI Central Office, and is set to attend the send-off ceremony in Manila next month.
