Governor Bong Lacson welcomed all participants of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Legal Aid Summit, hosted by the Province of Negros Occidental and held at the L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City over the weekend.
The four-day National Legal Summit aims to provide and sustain avenues of access to adequate legal assistance.
Gov. Lacson said that lawyers can operate on a wide range of issues that affect democracy, governance, and social order.
“We acknowledge the crucial role of lawyers, not just with the rule of law and preservation of justice, but also in promoting progress and development in our society,” he said.
