Governor Bong Lacson led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Binalbagan Municipal Abattoir (slaughterhouse), in the Municipality of Binalbagan, today.

The P48 million project will be established through the Department of Agriculture-led Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), and funded by the World Bank, the National Government, and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

The slaughterhouse project is set to be completed in July next year.

Also present at the groundbreaking ceremony were Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol, Vice Mayor Mary Ann Mirasol, OIC Regional Executive Director of the Dept. of Agriculture Region 6, Engr. Jose Albert Barrogo, Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa, PRDP personnel, and other local officials.#AbanseNegrense
