WATCH. Training-Workshop on Basic Library Organization Management for Public Library Personnel
Public librarians from the different cities and municipalities of the province attended a seminar-workshop on Basic Library Organization Management held at the Negros Occ. Provincial Library in Bacolod City, today.
The activity is spearheaded by the Negros Occ. Provincial Library led by Provincial Librarian, Rio Lynne Panisa, in collaboration with the Bacolod City Public Library and the Association of Public Information Specialists of Negros Occidental (APISNO), Inc.
The group discussed Library Marketing, Basic Library Organization Management, and LGU Best Library Practices.
Gov. Lacson said that libraries are community builders and are universities by themselves and remain to be the constant source of free and reliable information and knowledge despite the digital era.
Relevant libraries are essential in the quest for nation-building, and you can count on your Provincial Government to give you the support you need,” he said.
Board Member Rita Gatuslao, chairman of the SP Committee on Education, also expressed her support for the activity and acknowledged the effort of public librarians in encouraging learning in communities.
