Governor Bong Lacson, Manapla Mayor Manuel Escalante III, and Negros Occ. DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Anthony Liobet led the ceremonial distribution of tablets to the learners of Manapla National High School yesterday, May 8, 2023.
A total of 850 tablets were given to Grade 7 students of MNHS.
Dubbed “Project Bong”, it aims to ensure that learners are properly equipped with learning materials in addition to providing them with quality public education.
Manapla National High School principal, Dr. Ma. Luz Tamesis, District of Manapla Public Schools District Supervisor, Narciso Talledo, teachers, and parents, witnessed the activity.
Gov. Lacson thanked the stakeholders and partners of DepEd District of Manapla and MNHS, the local government, PTA, and all other partners, for their support to the learners.
“We have to ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in this modern world,” said Gov. Lacson.
“It is my ardent hope as your Governor that you all advance to be confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors to our community, to our society, and our nation,” he added.
