Governor Bong Lacson attended the Mapua Malayan Digital College Scholars’ Day Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 28) at the MMDC Learning Hub, Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, which was attended by MMDC scholars from the Provincial Government and other guests.

Scholarship Program Division Head, Karen Dinsay, and Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Sipalay City, Kath Maguad, among others, also attended the activity.

Gov. thanked MMDC for its commitment to the education of Filipino youth and for opening doors of opportunities to the Negrense scholars.

Gov. Lacson and Malayan Colleges Laguna, Inc. recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the Abanse Negrense IT and Business Scholarship for Negrenses.

There are 100 Negrense college students for SY 2022 – 2023 who are currently enrolled as scholars of the program.

The governor said that he hopes that all scholars will advance to be confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors to the community, society, and nation.

“I am urging you to never give up on your dreams and to take your education seriously; it is human to be afraid of uncertainties, but we can always choose to adapt, thrive, and prosper, however difficult,” he said.
