More infrastructure projects will be constructed in the Municipality of Murcia in the coming months.
Provincial officials, led by Governor Bong Lacson, Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko (3rd District), Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas, and Vice Mayor Johnny Reosura, led the groundbreaking ceremonies and laying of time capsules Tuesday, February 15, 2022, for the construction of the Murcia Public Cemetery in Brgy. Caliban and the Sanitary Landfill in Brgy. Cansilayan, both in the Municipality of Murcia.
Mayor Rojas said that both projects are all for the benefit and welfare of Murciahanons citing the importance of public health and safety.
The sanitary landfill project is necessary for proper disposal and decomposition of wastes, without threatening the environment.
According to the officials, the town needs a new public cemetery to provide a suitable place for family and visitors to pay their respects to the departed and provide them with dignified care.
