NEGRENSE COOP CARAVAN HELD
The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in collaboration with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VI held a Negrense Coop Caravan at Negros Residences in Bacolod City, yesterday (June 23).
The activity dubbed “Abanse nga Serbisyo Para sa Kooperatiba”, was attended by micro and small cooperatives and cooperative development officers from the different LGUs of the province.
Gov. Bong Lacson said that the training is in line with the provincial government’s goal to strengthen cooperatives and enable them to provide quality financial and related services that will strengthen the capacities of the people especially in the face of tight competition brought about by globalization and recovery from COVID crisis.
Negros Occ. Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz was also present at the activity and expressed his support to the participants.
Gov. Lacson thanked CDA – Region VI led by Director Nora Patron, and Provincial Cooperatives Development Coordinator of the Provincial Administrator’s Office led by Dr. Edmund Chris Acosido, for organizing the development training that aims to give participants the needed skills to empower and develop the capacities of cooperatives in the province.
“Cooperatives are considered by the provincial government as allies in the quest for inclusive progress,” he added.
