Governor Bong Lacson met with the president and CEO of the Guam Visitors Bureau at the Bien Binidu (Welcome) Luncheon in Manila, recently, in honor of the friendly relations between the Philippines and Guam.

The luncheon was held at The Atrium at Enderun Colleges, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, together with Negros Occ. Executive Assistant to the Governor and PIO, Charina Magallanes-Tan, Provincial Tourism Officer, Cheryl Decena, Mayors Renato Gustilo of San Carlos City, Nicholas Yulo of Bago City, and Neil E. Lizares of Talisay City, represented by City Administrator Atty. Jonathan Ealdama and Asst. City Administrator Ismael P. Penado, and other delegations from Guam.

The group discussed ways to connect as sister cities, following Gov. Lacson’s recent visit to Guam as per invitation from Consul General Patrick John Hilado of the Office of the Philippine Consulate General in Guam, to be the guest of honor and speaker for Guam’s Independence Day celebration, and to promote Negros Occidental’s tourism and investment opportunities and possible partnership in the fields of tourism, agriculture, and investment opportunities.
