Newly Hired and Promoted Capitol Employees Take Oath

A total of 128 employees that had been hired and promoted between March and June of 2019 in the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental took their oaths of office before Governor Lacson in a ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol, Friday, Feb. 21, 2020.

The said employees from the different departments and offices of the provincial government, as well as from provincial government-owned hospitals also attended a job orientation seminar conducted by the Civil Service Commission which apprised them of their rights and privileges and the limitations and sanctions that govern public servants.

Governor Lacson said that it is a privilege to be part of an organization that adheres to excellence. He also advised the employees not to expect to do the same work after promotion and go the extra mile for improvement of government service.

Meanwhile, the Governor commended Joserito Montebano, an employee in the Provincial Administrator’s Office – Procurement Services Division, for turning over P50,000 cash that he found on one of the Landbank ATM machines in Bacolod City last February 7; he received a certificate and P10,000 cash in recognition of his honesty.

The event was spearheaded by Provincial Human Resource Management Office headed by Atty. Anabelle Palic.

Also present were Board Members Manuel Frederick Ko and Tinto Bascon, and the heads of the concerned departments and offices, and chiefs of hospitals.
