NOCHP Launched in Cauayan Hospital

Governor Bong Lacson led the launching of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program (NOCHP) at Cauayan District Hospital on February 24, 2023.

With its official launching, all NOCHP cardholders, particularly in the Sixth District of the province, may now avail of free medical and health services at the said hospital.

Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara led the ceremonial acceptance of the program, together with Hospital Chief Dr. Maricel Dida, NOCHP Head Andrea Marie Boheron, and other local officials.

NOCHP is a health insurance for indigents, spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, in collaboration with the 31 component cities and municipalities of the province, six Congressional Districts, PhilHealth and the Department of Health.

It is a priority program of the province that seeks to provide comprehensive health care to Negrenses.

Gov. Lacson said that he looks forward to a successful implementation of the program that will redound to the benefit of the Cauayanons and the neighboring LGUs.

NOCHP cardholders are entitled of a P5,000 yearly assistance for medication, laboratories, radiologic examinations, dental services, and medicines, among others.

NOCHP members and their qualified dependents are entitled to free out-patient care in participating government hospitals in the province, including the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.
