WATCH. NOCPPO New Year’s Call to Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson at the Capitol today.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) led by Provincial Director, Police Colonel Leo Pamittan, together with the chiefs of police of the cities and municipalities of the province, pays a traditional New Year’s call to Governor Bong Lacson, at the Provincial Capitol this afternoon.
NOCPPO reiterated its commitment and support to the governor and Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in the interest of peace and order in the province.
Gov. Lacson also assured of the Provincial government’s full support in rising to the challenge of the drug problem and the state of the province’s peace and order.
“On our part, aside from fighting drugs through our drug clearing programs, we also need to promote effective communication and awareness to establish in the minds of our people the horrors and the evils of illegal drugs,” he said.
The governor thanked the police personnel and staff for their noble and courageous service, bravery, and commitment to their duty.
“I am positive that together we can realize and achieve a more progressive and peaceful Negros Occidental,” he said.
Gov. Lacson also stressed the need for police visibility in all towns and cities of the province, as the presence of policemen in the community creates trust and connection with the people.
