Governor Bong Lacson paid tribute to all teachers who were recipients of the Most Outstanding School Teachers Award, organized by DepEd – Division of Negros Occidental on November 29, 2022.
The 2022 “Teacher Ikaw Na” Awarding Ceremony was held at Garden Royale in Bacolod City led by DepEd Negros Occ. Schools Division Superintendent, Anthony Liobet.
The event recognized the Most Outstanding Elementary School Teachers I – III, Most Outstanding Elementary School Master Teachers I – II, Most Outstanding Secondary School Teachers I – III, and Most Outstanding Secondary School Master Teachers I – II from various schools in the province.
They were awarded for their excellent accomplishments, exemplary performance, and dedicated service.
Gov. Lacson lauded the awardees for doing their job well and for setting high standards for their students and fellow teachers.
He said that while the pandemic had deep disruptive implications for the normal way of educating the children, the teachers’ dedicated resolve determined the extent of how gravely or lightly education shall be affected.
“Our educational system, with our teachers at the forefront, aside from giving our youth the possibility of a better future, is our primary instrument in harnessing their skills, talents, and competencies, said Gov. Lacson.
“Our time, with all its challenges, requires the full development of our youth, thus, the need not just for teachers, but for outstanding ones,” he added.
The governor also assured of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental’s continued support to DepEd.
