PROJECT HOPE LAUNCHED TO AID NEGRENSE ENTREPRENEURS

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in collaboration with Project HOPE Foundation, Inc. and other partners, launched Project HOPE or Honest Opportunities for Philippine Entrepreneurs, which aims to provide a free livelihood program to Negrense entrepreneurs.

The activity was held at Negros Residences in Bacolod City, this morning, attended by Gov. Bong Lacson, Jared Lance de De Paz, Director of Project HOPE for Legazpi, Technology and Livelihood Development Center Head Libay Alarcon, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office OIC Gerla Sario, and the beneficiaries of the program.

Project HOPE is a social enterprise that aims to provide free livelihood program by maximizing the power of business franchises and the potential of e-commerce as an effective tool to alleviate poverty, bridging buyers and sellers who want to directly trade with consumers.

Gov. Lacson said that the program is a timely and responsive initiative to the needs of aspiring Negrense entrepreneurs who lack access to capital and the other necessities of starting an enterprise.

He thanked Project Hope for the support and conviction in the potential of the Negrense entrepreneurs and in strengthening communities. The governor also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Project Hope Foundation, for the said project, as part of the activity.*#AbanseNegrense
