The Negros Occidental Tourism Division spearheaded the Provincial Tourism Summit themed, “Rethinking Tourism”, held at the Ayala Malls Capitol Function Hall in Bacolod City, Friday, September 16, 2022.
The event was attended by Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, who represented Gov. Bong Lacson, Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena, mayors, and tourism workers and stakeholders from the different LGUs of the province.
Broadcast journalist, Howie Severino talked on Responsible Use of Social Media in Promoting Tourism, Professor Felipe de Leon, Jr. discussed about Culture and Arts Appreciation, and Tourism Planning Consultant, Marybeth Mencias, talked on the Role of LGUs in Sustainable Destination Management.
The Tourism Summit is part of this year’s Provincial Tourism Week celebration.
