Gov. Bong Lacson welcomes Consul Timothy Ruberton of the U.S. Embassy in Manila, as the latter paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Capitol, today.
Consul Ruberton and Consular Assistant Maita Pelayo-Carandang lauded the governor for doing a good job for the province, being one of the top immigration destinations for Americans.
He also said that Negros Occidental is a peaceful province with warm and generous people.
He shared the role of American Citizens Services Unit of the U.S. Embassy, and discussed areas of cooperation between the Provincial Government and the Embassy, particularly the welfare of more than 500,000 US citizens in the country.
They were also welcomed by Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz and Executive Assistant to the Governor and OIC PIO Charina Magallanes – Tan.#AbanseNegrense
