Representatives of People’s Organizations attended the 4th Upland People’s Organization Summit held at the Food Terminal Market of Negros Occidental this morning.
The activity, spearheaded by the Provincial Environment Management Office, aims to capacitate leaders of upland people’s organizations and update them on the status of upland management and development in their areas of concern.
It is also an opportunity for the participants to collaborate and build partnerships with the government, non-government organizations, private sectors, and the business sectors as potential partners of their community-based enterprise.
Gov. Bong Lacson urged the participants to be proactive in protecting and helping preserve the environment and assured them of the Provincial Government’s support for their endeavors.
