ENVIRONMENT MONTH CULMINATION

The Provincial Environment Management Office led the culmination activity of the 31st Provincial Environment Week Celebration at Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, this afternoon.

People’s Organizations who participated in the product selling activity were recognized and given special awards such as Most Diverse Booth, Best in Solid Waste Implementation, and Highest Sales Award.

The Capitol offices who participated in the Tree Growing Activity in Brgy. Biao, Binalabagan and Coastal Clean-up Activity in Bocana, Ilog, recently, were given Certificates of Appreciation during the program.

Environment and Natural Resources Offices and partners who actively participated in the conduct of various activities related to Environment Month also received Certificates of Recognition.

PEMO Head Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio presented the Negros Environmental Research and Development Program of PEMO in collaboration with Philippine Normal University – Visayas. Gov. Lacson thanked the commitment and consistency of the government’s partners in the effort to sustain and promote activities for the environment.

“Today’s event is also our way of recognizing the contributions of special bodies, LGUS, offices, individuals, academe, inter-LGU alliances, and all stakeholders,” he said.

This year’s environment month is themed, “Solutions to Plastic Pollution”.#AbanseNegrense
