Gov. Lacson signs EO 21-38 on Travel Protocols to Prevent Delta Variant spread

Governor Bong Lacson signed this afternoon Executive Order No. 21-38, Series of 2021, implementing more stringent protocols for inbound travel to Negros Occidental to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Delta Variant in the province.

Salient Points of the EO:

Sec. 2 – Travel to Negros Occidental shall be subject to the following requirements:

1. SAFE, SWIFT, AND SMART PASSAGE (S-PASS) PERMIT

2. STAY SAFE.PH APPLICATION

3. NEGATIVE R-PCR TEST PRIOR TO TRAVEL

Sec. 3 – VOLUNTARY SWABBING. The province shall offer voluntary swabbing (swab and go) to inbound passengers at the airport and seaports. The province shall bear the cost of the RT-PCR swab test.

Inbound passengers who avail of this service shall be required to undergo facility quarantine at either an LGU quarantine facility or an accredited provincial facility pending the result of the RT-PCR swab test.
