High Value Crops (HVC) Farmers Receive Farm Inputs

HIGH VALUE CROPS (HVC) FARMERS RECEIVE FARM INPUTS

The typhoon-affected farmers of the cities of Kabankalan and Sipalay, and the Municipality of Hinobaan, received farm inputs that include assorted vegetable seeds and farm tools, donated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, today.

Governor Bong Lacson and BSP Deputy Director, Ma. Jocelyn Ladero, led the ceremonial distribution of the donations to the beneficiaries at the Kabankalan Demo Farm, located in Brgy. Hilamonan.

Fifty high value crops (HVC) farmers from the different barangays of the said LGUs were given assorted high value crops seeds and farm tools worth P150,000.

Also present in the activity were Sixth District Board Members Jeffrey Tubola and Valentino Miguel Alonso, Kabankalan Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr., SP Member Efren Gaspillo, Sr., Negros Occ. Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Edmundo Causing, Supervising Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Dina Genzola, and Kabankalan City Acting Agriculturist Ricky Muscosa, among others.

Meanwhile, the Den-den Agri-Tourism Farm located in Brgy. Tapi, Kabankalan City was also granted an accreditation as Agri-Tourism Farm Site by the Department of Tourism.
