NEGROS OCC. HOLDS BULK WATER PPP PROJECT INVESTOR CONFERENCE

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental spearheaded the Bulk Water Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) Project Investor Conference held at Ayala Malls Capitol Central Function Hall in Bacolod City, this morning.

The event was attended by Governor Bong Lacson, Board Members Rommel Debulgado, Andrew Montelibano, and Rita Gatuslao, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Center Director of the PPP Center of the Philippines Atty. John Dominic Zafe, Legal Consultant of Asian Development Bank, Atty. Brando Cabalsi, Financial Consultant of ADB, Dr. Vaugn Montes, Technical Consultant of ADB, Engr. Johan Martinez, guests, and representatives of companies that have expressed their intention to be part of the said project.

The provincial government earlier launched the Negros Occidental Provincial Integrated Water Security Program in cooperation with the USAID Safe Water Project Team, which aims to increase access to resilient water supply among water-stressed communities, improve water resource management to ensure sustainable supply, as well as strengthen water sector governance.

The Bulk Water Project is one of the priority projects, which will benefit the concerned local government units, for a source of clean and potable drinking water.

Gov. Lacson said that the Provincial Government is ready to provide the necessary assistance, including facilitating necessary documents and streamlining bureaucratic processes.

He also said that the Capitol’s dedicated personnel and offices are committed to addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise, upholding and making sure that the partner companies’ investment in Negros Occidental yields fruitful returns.*#AbanseNegrense
