The Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) led by Atty. Julie Ann Bedrio conducted the First Coffee Expo Market Matching in Negros Occidental, held at FTMON Hall in Bacolod City, today, participated in by chairpersons of various Integrated Social Forestry (ISF) Farmers Organizations in the province.
Governor Bong Lacson and Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr., attended the activity in support of the farmers.
The activity aims to make the local coffee producers understand coffee production and consumption trends and build partnerships with the business sector through market matching, as well as promote collaboration between LGUs, the business sector, non-government organizations, and the private sector for improved coffee production and marketing performance.
The participants attended sessions on Coffee Production and Consumption Trends and Marketing, Best Practices on Coffee Robusta Production, Coffee Financing, and Community Based Coffee Processing Enterprise Model.
