Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena and the tourism officers from the cities of Sagay, Sipalay, San Carlos, and Silay present Governor Bong Lacson the trophies they won at the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards, which were recently held in Tagaytay City as part of the 23rd ATOP National Convention.
Negros Occidental bagged the Grand Winner Award for Best Tourism Promotion Publication featuring the “Halin sa Kusina-Food Stories from the People of Negros Occidental” book.
The LGUs were recognized by the Department of Tourism for various tourism initiatives in their respective localities.
