The Municipality of San Enrique received the LGU Declared Zero Open Defecation Award from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, today, and received a P100,000 cash incentive.
San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara received the award from Gov. Bong Lacson and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ma. Girlie Pinongan at the ceremonial Awarding and Recognition of Zero Open Defecation held at San Enrique Gymnasium.
The barangay officials and LGU health workers were also present at the activity.
Gov. Lacson said that the Province of Negros Occidental will continuously and diligently pursue the goal of Zero Open Defecation, in line with the Provincial Integrated Safe Water Program, as it also aligns with the province’s dedication to addressing the United Nations’ 6th Sustainable Goal of Clean Water and Sanitation.*
